End of Summer, Officially, Technically

Yes, this is the last weekend of Summer for the 2009 calendar. At 2:18 pm Tuesday, September 22, we will officially pass into the autumn season. Grapes are being carted into wineries for crushing, another sure sign of autumn. And we're in for a record heat wave! I guess in Northern California, that too, is a sign of fall. The weather should be hot, sunny, clear and crisp here until around mid October!
